Haircare Favorites

It's no surprise that hair needs some care. Something I should've learned a long time ago.

No I wasn't the type of girl that would change hair colors every month, but I used that hair dryer and hair straightner like a everyday, like a ritual. This heat has caused my hair to become dry easily, create split ends and get frizzy.

Thankfully for the last 3 months, I have determined myself to find some of the best haircare products for this dry hair of mine. So I have come with a list of my favorites so far.

OUAI- Finishing Creme

Like lotion for your hair. This was the first of my Ouai purchasing and so far has made such a huge difference. The way I use it is in the mornings I would apply a dime size amount through out my ends after using the hair straightener. This light creme not only smoothes my ends, but leaves my hair with a shine. I really love the fresh scent that it leaves on my hair before starting my day.

Tresemme- Repair & Protect Instant Recovery Mask

Over the last few months this mask has replaced my old conditioner because of the moisture it has put back in my hair. In the winter my hair generally tends to become more and dry and it is really hard to find a good conditioner that has a bit of a scent to it. This mask says it repairs 7 different styling damages and strengthens the fibers of hair. From using this product I can also say that it has helped keep my hair smooth and straighter. The split ends I had are also not there. When using this product, I've seen better results if you apply through the ends and leaving it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing off.

OUAI- Hair Oil

As part of a gift set, I was luckily able to try this hair oil that I had seen reviews on Instagram. This oil is meant to smooth frizz and ,like the creme, seals split ends. Since my hair is colored, the oil is also meant to help prevent the color from fading. What I love apart from doing all these repairs is the scent that it leaves in the hair. To apply I would spray 2-3 times on my hand and disperse it from mid way of my head and down to the ends. I only use this product after blow drying my hair at night. This can also double as a overnight hair mask.

OUAI- Wave Spray

This product might not be considered a hair care product, but this styling product really saves my hair having to use a curling iron. This mist gives hair a more textured and wavy look with rice protein added for added hold. The way I use it is by shaking it then spraying about 8 inches away from the hair. Then quickly grabbing the hair up to the top. This helps me create effortless looking waves that are more natural. Wavy not curly!

For last 2 products, these are my current favorite dry shampoos. One is foam and the other is a mist.

OUAI- Dry Shampoo Foam

This foam dry shampoo was also in the gift and has changed my life. For those days that my hair looks bad or just looks flat. This foam has saved my life! The dry shampoo not only leaves my hair looking cleaner but has it looking shiny and more volume.

R+Co-Death Valley

While the mist is a little less messy, but is perfect for unclean hair that you want to keep it straight. The smell is what definitely sells it to me. The fragrance is made from Bergamont, Wild Fig, Cyclamen, Lotus Flower, Cedarwood and Tonka Beans. Can someone please make this into a Perfume?
